Lara Trump, now serving as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee and a former first daughter, has revealed that the party recently experienced its “most successful fundraising weekend” since her father’s presidency, following a significant overhaul of staff.
The Republican National Committee encountered fundraising difficulties over the past three years without the presence of former President Donald Trump. Consequently, former chair Ronna McDaniel resigned, and Michael Whatley, a trusted ally of Trump and leader of the North Carolina Republican Party, assumed the role of chair alongside Lara Trump. The recent upsurge in fundraising signifies a promising shift now that the Trump family is once again leading the charge.
“I’m thrilled to announce that last weekend, the @GOP achieved its highest digital fundraising figures since 2020. There’s plenty more in store… we’re just getting started!” Lara Trump hinted on X platform.
I am proud to announce that last weekend the @GOP had the largest digital fundraising weekend since 2020. Much more to come…we are just getting started! @realDonaldTrump @ChairmanWhatley @LaCivitaC

“The change in leadership at the RNC has truly galvanized many supporters,” Lara Trump remarked in a subsequent interview with Newsmax, as reported by the Post Millennial. “We witnessed our most successful fundraising weekend since 2020, and that speaks volumes.”
“People recognize the critical nature of this upcoming election, and they have great confidence in the team we’ve assembled, with myself as co-chair and Michael Whatley as chairman,” she continued.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) recently announced the departure of over 60 employees across its political, communications, and digital departments as part of a strategic restructuring to bolster fundraising efforts in an election year. With sufficient delegates secured for the GOP nomination, President Trump’s campaign will integrate with the RNC to enhance outreach and streamline internal operations.
Whatley and Lara Trump were chosen for their steadfast dedication to election integrity initiatives, championed by President Trump and Christina Bobb, the newly appointed head of the RNC’s legal department. Bobb will oversee the RNC’s election integrity efforts through the 2024 elections.
Lara Trump underscored the significance of “secure ballot collection” and the RNC’s “Bank Your Vote” campaign, aimed at promoting Republican mail-in voting, in the forthcoming elections.
“We’ve been playing checkers while the Democrats have been playing chess. Unfortunately, we lack uniform voting dates, paper ballots, and universal voter ID. So, we must make the most of the situation,” Lara Trump commented.
“While this is uncharted territory for the RNC, I can assure you it will be a pivotal aspect of our strategy moving forward,” she added regarding the election integrity initiatives.
